running his finger down the space where the tatami mats didn’t quite touch was a way to pass the time before the next tuxedo fitting.  it was winter and the only people getting married were foreigners who wanted to get it over with.   so, he made sure to order some extra XL shoes just in case some of them decided to invite their fathers and uncles.  the uncles were usually the best to work with…carefree…punching the sky with toenails glued to fingernails…
