The Racetrack Is All Around You, So Place Your Bets
Adam's Diary 2009.2.21
I used to only gamble at the racetrack, because I felt as if I had an advantage…it wasn’t pure chance…I mean, I could see which horse was a winner just by looking at its eyes and whether or not it was fed diuretics by its trainer.
But, then I became bored and broke and one evening on a wet curb, I witnessed a hailstone fall directly onto an ant. It died. Not two seconds later, another ant arrived and carried it off. I had a double epiphany:
1. Gambling needeth not money.
2. You can bet on anything.
ODDS THIS POEM WILL AFFECT YOUR CHOICE OF DINNER TONIGHT…20:1.
