From July 5 to July 12, Mr. Sasaki, Emma, and Chalice held their successful group show, “Kumo-kumo” at the Shimobun Atelier. Sasaki and one of his works can be seen in the headline photo. He tells me his specialty is drawing fairies.

According to Mr. Sasaki, “Kamiyama is full of fairies.” Yes, it is. The placement of his work work created quite an impact on viewers entering the atelier from the main entrance.

The hallway of the Shimobun Atelier was covered in pencil drawings. (There was quite a large number of them!) We hear Mr. Sasaki has been invited to put on a solo show in New York this December. Congratulations!

She’s got a Japanese obi wrapped around her middle here.
Chalice is beautiful, she’s good at making pictures, and has a great personality. She does Brazillian Jiu-jitsu so she’s strong, and she’s got a tattoo. (haha) The five most important things are all taken care of.

Next, Emma’s works.
If you think Emma’s only talent is being an athletic cyclist who travells all over Kamiyama on her bicycle, you’re mistaken!
Not sure if these are butterflies or moths. (I forgot to ask.)

This drawing of a mukade centipede is based on a real 15cm specimen that came into her home.
It’s very realistic. It seems to be alive! How about using it as a family crest?

At last! Here is Emma herself. She’s the one on the left with the yellow shirt.

I don’t know if it’s because she’s got a boyfriend, but Emma is looking great lately.

I took this photo of the two of them on July 12 at Mutsumi Uchiyama’s exhibition which is on at the Awa Washi Kaikan in Yamakawa.
