Sofie’s Adventures: Fireworks Party
2008 2008.9.16
Sunday was the harvest moon, and the shrine close to Mr. Ominami’s house was having a festival with fireworks. A bunch of the Green Valley gang got together to have a meal and watch them. Sofie and I got a ride with my shy husband, who dropped us off and then left to go to the onsen by himself. Later, when I told him about all the great food and friendly people he missed out on, he seemed to regret his decision a bit.
Sofie and I had a pact that if she got scared watching the fireworks that I would take her inside right away, so that was what we did. We watched the fireworks (which were very loud!) with a safe, secure pane of glass in-between us and them.
Sofie used my camera to take a few pictures and spent some time playing with Chan and Andrea. I think she had a good time! I hope I can take Sofie up to Kamiyama again soon.
