Go Go Kamiyama Philfarmony!
Diary 2011.6.7
Thanks to Rick and friends for your hard work, the Kamiyama Philfarmony are doing very well so far.
On the 3rd June 2011, team Tokushima City gathered in one of the waterfront warehouses owned by Aquacitta, (an NPO since 2005 that aims to re-invigorate the Mandai wharf area of Tokushima City). There are nineteen warehouses in the area and five of them have now been approved for use as experimental spaces for architecture & interior design.
We’d like to thank Aquacitta again for kindly letting us use this fantastic space.
We loved the idea of ‘stomping’ in a big warehouse. It felt wonderful.
It was just nice to have ten people rehearsing on that day.
They are the Tokushima city team for the Philfarmony.
Next, we have some pictures from a rehearsal in Kamiyama on the 5th June.
There were about twenty people at the practice including some of the Tokushima City team members!
We lost no time in getting to work!
We were split into three different groups, one with coins (as intruments in their hands) the other using the sudachi-boxes…
And the super kids with plastic bottles!
For the final performance, of course everyone has to perform simultaneously so at the end of this practice all the groups performed together, as one unit.
Everytime we practice together there is something new to learn so although it is difficult we find it very satisfying!
To Be Continued…
