Currents
Diary 2012.9.17
Japanese in-laws wish to visit the world-famous vortex in Naruto. I try and warn them but it’s no use. Typically, we’ve missed the strongest Level 3 currents and therefore the best chance of seeing a proper funnel-type whirlpool, however, we are still at Level 2 so it might be ok.
There’s a vast black hole opposite the entrance to the bridge. The volume of concrete is overwhelming and so we all (probably) feel the urge to leap into the bushy organic matter 40 storeys below.
The bridge distorts my sense of scale and persepctive.
Looking at these pictures again I feel as though I have a high fever.
Following a 40 minute freak-out session they all managed to stand on the glass and look fairly relaxed. They jumped off 2 seconds later.
