Silverfish and moths
Diary 2013.8.5
The joruri crew decided to air all the stored equipment. So these huge wooden boxes came out.
The clothes for the dolls were inside the boxes: lots of miniature kimonos and samurai jackets. Legs and arms, heads and moths and silverfish. It was a cloudy day and the sun wasn’t so bright; it actually looked like it might rain. In hindsight, it probably wasn’t the best day to hang precious things outside.
Well, it did rain after all but I managed to get some pictures of the kimonos and some other stuff before we had to repacked it quickly:
Inside these boxes, some unused heads that I’ve never met before.
The kimonos were beautifully embroidered.
Astonishing detail for something that is rarely seen up-close by the spectator. I guess this is a perfect example of just how sacred these dolls are.
