Digging at the cinnamon tree
Diary 2008.9.21
It is always amazing how an idea that was no more than a sketch in ones head one day materializes! Today all of a sudden this was the case, it started to walk out of the sketchbook. As we arrived on top of the Oawa mountain for the communal gathering for the forest cleaning, Mori-san had a big surprise. He had transported the Jumbo digging machine to the cinnamon tree, the place I had choosen for one of my projects. The project requiered quite a bit of digging in the red soil. By hand it would have been a tremendous work, now we had the help of Mori-san, Higashitani-san and Fujimoto-san, and the Jumbo . Arigato gozaimas! The soil was deep red, the mountains green and misty of warm rains. It seems to be the perfect surrounding for an art project indevelopment.
