Last Saturday (October 24) at 7:30pm, we had a pre-event rehearsal at Shimobun Kominkan for the “New Kamiyama Sudachi Ondo” that KAIR participating artist Yamanaka Camera wrote and composed.
The man giving an explanation in the above picture is KAIR Committee member Mr. Iwamaru.
I don’t know if it’s because we have such a good leader or just because everyone is good, but it’s so easy to organize the people of Shimobun!
All that great TV on Saturday night, and look at all the people who turned out. They all skipped one of the cruical games in the baseball series just to be here.

Naturally, the other participating artists also came.
(I’ve got to get a new camera soon… sorry for all the out of focus shots…)

Mr. Yamanaka set up the music for the New Kamiyama Ondo and we started practicing the dance.
It’s in eight time.

The official performance of the Kamiyama Bon Odori
Time: November 3 (Tuesday – National Culture Day) Starting at 7:00pm
Place: Shimobun Elementary School Grounds

Yamanaka Camera has made a wonderful work of art.
Everyone, young and old, can enjoy this together.
It will undoubtedly be a very entertaining “bon odori!”
